Privacy Policy

Seek & Savor (seekandsavor.com) is operated by Good to Be Growing LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the website and the recipe planner, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The short version
- Your recipes, pantry, meal plans and profiles are saved in your own browser, on your device. If you choose to sign in, we also keep a copy in your account so you can use them on your other devices. You can delete your account at any time.
- When you scan a recipe, the images or text are sent to our AI provider only to read the recipe, and we don't keep them.
- If you join our email list or send feedback, we keep what you send so we can reply or email you. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time.
- We don't sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Information you give us. Your email address if you join the Seek & Savor email list, and your name and message if you send feedback.
Recipes you scan. Screenshots, photos or recipe text you choose to scan are sent to our AI provider to extract the ingredients and steps. The result is sent back to your browser. We don't keep a copy of the images or the results on our servers.
Your account, only if you sign in. Signing in is optional. If you do, we keep your email address and the profile names, saved recipes, pantry staples, meal plans and grocery lists you sync, so they show up on every device where you sign in. They are stored with Cloudflare in the United States. We use them only to run your account, never for advertising.
Information saved on your device. Profile names, saved recipes, pantry staples and meal plans are kept in your browser's local storage. They stay on that device until you clear them or clear your browser data. Unless you sign in to sync them, we can't see them.
Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically receives basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. If you sign in, we set one cookie that keeps you signed in on that device for up to 60 days. We don't use advertising cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits; it doesn't use cookies or track you across other websites.
How we use information
- To run the planner and read the recipes you scan.
- If you sign in, to email you sign-in codes and keep your saved recipes in sync between your devices.
- To send emails you signed up for, such as new guides, recipes and weekly menus.
- To answer feedback and improve Seek & Savor.
- To keep the site secure and prevent misuse.
- To comply with the law.
Service providers we use
We share information only with companies that help us run Seek & Savor, and only for that purpose:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, security, visit counts and, if you sign in, storage of your account.
- Anthropic: the AI that reads scanned recipes, under its commercial terms.
- Resend: sends the sign-in emails when you sign in.
- Kit (kit.com): stores our email list and sends the emails you signed up for.
- Formspree: receives feedback you send us.
- Instacart: if you tap "Shop with Instacart," the items on your grocery list are sent to Instacart to build your shopping list there. Your Instacart order is then covered by Instacart's own privacy policy.
- Google Fonts: delivers the fonts used on the site.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
Affiliate links
Some pages may include links to stores such as Amazon or grocery delivery services. If you buy something after clicking one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those stores may use cookies to track the referral, under their own privacy policies.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time, using the link in any email or by contacting us.
- Delete your account in the planner under Recipes, then Account, then "Delete my account." This removes your email and everything synced to it from our database right away; our hosting provider's backups clear within 30 days. Recipes on your own devices stay there.
- Delete data on your device by clearing your browser's site data for seekandsavor.com.
- Ask us to access, correct or delete the email address or feedback you sent us. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights, and we will honor them.
Children
Seek & Savor is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and we'll let email subscribers know about important changes.
